🩺 Diagnostic Radiologist – Weekend Coverage | Long Beach, CA

Job description

We are seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist for onsite weekend locums coverage.

Assignment Details:
Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays
Shift: 8:00am–6:00pm, no call
Minimum 2 weekends per month required
Credentialing: ~30+ days

Clinical Responsibilities:
General diagnostic radiology across all modalities
Must read everything that comes through the ER
Includes pediatric trauma, MRI, and CT
Expectation to complete all reads during shift (no carryover)

Volume:
~130–140 reads per weekday
~150–180 reads per weekend shift

Modalities:
MRI, CT, ultrasound, and X-ray
Heavier volume in CT and plain films
No nuclear medicine, cardiac, or breast
EMR: Epic

Environment:
Hospital setting serving Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital
Pediatric radiologists onsite weekdays; weekend coverage includes some peds overflow
Additional radiologist onsite from 8:00am–1:00pm

⭐ Prostate MRI experience highly preferred
⭐ Preference for body imaging background
