California Diagnostic Radiology Locums - Flexible Day Coverage
Job description
Aya Locums is working with a California hospital seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist for ongoing locum coverage.
This is an onsite General Diagnostic Radiology assignment with a broad reading mix including CT, MRI, X-ray and ultrasound. The physician should also be comfortable with basic Neuro and MSK imaging and abdominal / pelvic CT.
Typical daily volume is approximately 100-120 reads, with a mix that may include roughly 60-70 X-rays, 30-32 CTs, 12-15 ultrasounds, several MRI studies and a small number of fluoroscopy cases. The Radiologist will read between procedures.
GI fluoroscopy may include upper GI, esophagram, small bowel follow-through and barium enema. PICC line placement and hysterosalpingograms are helpful but are not hard requirements. Mammography and breast procedures are not required, and several additional image-guided procedures are specifically outside the required scope.
The schedule is daytime coverage with flexibility based on physician availability. Call is optional, and additional call coverage can be discussed based on interest.
Support staff is available, and the department uses NovaRad and MModal.
An active California license is required. Due to the client’s non-poaching policy, candidates must live approximately 60 miles or more from the facility.
I am interested in speaking with Radiologists who have substantial availability as well as those who want to discuss what schedule, clinical mix and compensation would make locums worthwhile.
