Practice Setting: Level II Trauma Center / Hospital
Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
Schedule: 24-hour call coverage, Monday–Sunday, scheduled as needed
Estimated Credentialing Time: Approximately 60 days

Position Overview

A hospital in the Grand Rapids, MI area is seeking a locum tenens Neurointerventionalist to provide 24-hour call coverage as needed.

The physician will provide specialized neurointerventional care for adult and geriatric patients in a Level II trauma setting. The practice averages approximately 1–2 neurointerventional cases per day and is supported by experienced Interventional Radiology physicians, registered nurses, and radiology technologists.

Approximately 61,645 annual Emergency Department visits
Approximately 1–2 cases per day
Adult and geriatric patient population
1 bi-plane room and 1 single-plane room
Multidisciplinary support from RNs and Radiology Technologists
Epic EMR
Established team of Interventional Radiology physicians
Procedures

The physician may perform or provide coverage for procedures including:

Carotid stenting
Endovascular coiling
Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR)
Neurointerventional and endovascular procedures as clinically indicated
Available Equipment & Supplies

The practice has access to specialized neurointerventional supplies, including:

Stryker neuro coils
Stryker flow-diverters
Medtronic flow-diverters
Abbott carotid stents
Cordis carotid stents
Schedule & Call
24-hour call coverage
Monday through Sunday
Scheduled as needed
Weekend call coverage included
Emergency cases may require in-hospital response
Qualifications & Requirements
Required
Board certification in Neuroradiology, Neurosurgery, or Neurology
Completion of a Neurointerventional Fellowship
Active Michigan medical license
DEA registration
BLS certification
ACLS certification
Willingness to provide 24-hour call coverage

Emergency/temporary privileges are not available.
Credentialing is estimated to take approximately 60 days after submission of a completed credentialing application.
Additional procedural requirements may apply based on the clinical practice and scope of privileges.
