Remote Overnight Diagnostic Radiologist

Job description

We are seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist for long-term remote overnight coverage supporting the Cone Health System in North Carolina. The physician will provide comprehensive diagnostic imaging interpretation across CT, MR, CR, and ultrasound in a high-volume environment.

Candidates with a General or Emergency Radiology fellowship are preferred.

Schedule & Work Environment
Remote/telehealth diagnostic radiology
Overnight coverage 7 days per week
5:00 PM–2:00 AM ET
Flexible scheduling arrangements considered, including:
7-on/7-off
7-on/14-off
Other mutually agreed-upon schedules
No on-call responsibilities
No floating required
Expected productivity: approximately 90 RVUs per shift
Estimated annual volume: approximately 30,240 studies
RPCE technology stack
Trauma Level II environment
Academic medical center experience not required

Clinical Responsibilities:
Interpret CT, MR, CR, and ultrasound
Provide general diagnostic and emergency radiology coverage
Manage overnight diagnostic imaging workload efficiently
Support coverage across the Cone Health System
Maintain timely and accurate interpretations in a remote environment

Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years
General or Emergency Radiology fellowship preferred/required for the role
Strong diagnostic radiology experience
Comfortable with remote/telehealth radiology
Prior travel/locums experience preferred
Must be able to independently interpret the required imaging modalities
No on-call or floating responsibilities
