Locums Diagnostic Radiologist Needed in Ohio (1-2 weeks per month)
Job description
Contract Length: 3-6 months
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1-2 weeks per month, 5x8s
The hours can vary depending on the shift—either 7-4, 7:30-4:30, 8-5 or 8:30-5:30. That being said, we can work with the person to find the shifts that work for both of us.
Eight hours of work with 30 min to 1 hr. lunch break = 8.5 to 9 hr. shift. There will be NO overtime! 8 hours of work only.
Clinic details
Practice Setting: Hospital
Patient Volume: Volume depends on modality but with general mix: ~60-100 cases/day with aim of ~50% cross sectional (if not doing procedures)
If doing procedures (see below), radiologist is expected to read cases between procedures to the best of their ability.
Expect 7 wRVU/hr productivity or equivalent based on daily workflow assignment
Modalities:
Required: general CT (unenhanced head and C-spine/level II trauma included), US (including 1st Trimester), X-ray
- Preferred: subspecialty fellowship training
- NO mammography, neuro subspecialty (MRI/spine/stroke), nuclear medicine, MSK MRI (unless fellowship trained)
Cases/Procedures: If the radiologist can do procedures—basic CT/US-guided procedures like abscess drainages, biopsies, chest tubes, thyroid FNA, (most LP, paracentesis, thoracentesis are performed by nurse practitioner). Not required but would be a benefit—fluoroscopy (we have an RRA who does fluoroscopy and joint injections/aspirations at Fairview most of the time).
System: PACS (AGFA EI), Voice Recognition (Powerscribe 360) and EMR (EPIC)
