This hospital is a well-regarded regional medical facility serving the northwoods community of Wisconsin with a combined emergency department and urgent care setting. The facility maintains a strong team-based environment with 1-2 physicians on staff at all times and a 15-bed department, ensuring collaborative and high-quality patient care.

Opportunity:
Advanced Practice - Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Provide advanced practice clinical services in a combined emergency department and urgent care setting
• 2 Advanced Practice Clinicians work staggered shifts during the day
• Volume of 15,000-20,000 ED/UC visits per year
• 12 patient encounters per shift, with a range of 12-15 patients per shift
• Need for 12 x 12-hour shifts per month covered
• Shift hours: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM or 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in emergency medicine at a trauma level I-III facility required
• Board certification required (Certified level minimum)
• Active Wisconsin license or IMLC required to be considered
• Required certifications include ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
• Nearest airports: Central WI Airport and Rhinelander WI Airport
