This facility is a community-based hospital serving the healthcare needs of southern Alabama. The department features 10 beds with key support services available including anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, laboratory, and radiology, providing a well-rounded clinical environment for emergency medicine providers.

Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Provide emergency medicine services with approximately 25 patient encounters per shift
• Work within a 10-bed emergency department at a Level 3 trauma facility
• Locum tenens engagement with an anticipated start date of 10/22/2026 on an ongoing basis
• Active Alabama medical license required - must be licensed in AL only
• Board certification is not required for this opportunity
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of approximately 2 days
• ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications are required
• 24-hour support services on-site include anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, laboratory, and radiology
• OR response time available on-site
• Facility does have an active Labor & Delivery department; newborn deliveries are not received in the ED
