Job description

Start: January 4, 2027
Length: 1 year plus
Coverage: Hospital emergency department
Schedule: PRN; day and night shifts available (10, 11, and 12-hour shifts); physicians who can work both are preferred
Call: None
Volume: About 1.8 patients per hour; 23% admission rate
Practice Setting: Hospital emergency department, 30 ER bays, no trauma designation
Support: Multiple physicians and APPs on shift depending on time of day; 36-40 hours of APP coverage per day; standard ED support staff
EMR: Meditech
Orientation: Shadow and EMR training depending on prior experience with the system

Requirements:
- EM board certified
- Active Florida license and DEA required
- Non-local candidates only (must live 50+ miles from the facility)
- Emergency privileges not available
