Locum Emergency Medicine Physician | New Freestanding ED | Apopka, FL (Orlando Area) | PRN Days & Nights

Job description

Start: January 4, 2027 (ASAP)
Length: Ongoing
Coverage: Freestanding emergency department (opening soon)
Schedule: PRN; day and night shifts available throughout the assignment
Call: None
Volume: Approximately 12,385 projected first-year visits
Practice Setting: Freestanding Emergency Department, fully integrated with a Level II Trauma Center
ED Details: 11 private patient care beds, dedicated trauma room, CT, ultrasound, x-ray, dedicated ambulance bay
EMR: Meditech
Admissions: Transported to the main hospital campus with handoff to intensivists, hospitalists, and specialists
Affiliated Sites: Credentialing includes the affiliated hospital in Sanford and freestanding EDs in the Casselberry, West Volusia, Heathrow, and Mount Dora areas

Requirements:
- BC/BE Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM), or board certified Family Medicine with extensive ER experience
- Full-time ED work for the past 3 years with at least 6,000 cumulative hours
- PALS and ACLS required; ATLS recommended
- Active Florida license and DEA
