Locum Emergency Medicine Physician | Freestanding ED | Winter Haven (Auburndale), FL | PRN, ~2 FTE Need

Job description

Start: January 4, 2027 (ASAP)
Length: Ongoing
Coverage: Freestanding emergency department; need equal to about 2 full-time physicians
Schedule: PRN; day, night, and weekend shifts; freestanding EDs require 12-hour shifts, main hospital may offer shorter shifts
Call: None
Volume: Approximately 19,000 annual visits, about 52 patients per day
Practice Setting: Freestanding Emergency Department, integrated with the main hospital in Poinciana
ED Details: 12 private patient care beds, dedicated trauma room, dedicated pediatric treatment room
Admissions: Transported to the main campus or another system hospital
Interview: Phone interview with site directors

Requirements:
- BC/BE Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
- FM or IM board certified physicians considered with at least 3 years of EM experience
- ACLS and PALS required
- Flexible for day, night, and weekend shifts; willingness to cover the main hospital preferred
- Active Florida license and DEA
