Locum Emergency Medicine Physician | Brandon Freestanding EDs + Main Hospital | Brandon, FL | PRN

Job description

Start: January 4, 2027 (ASAP)
Length: 6-12 months initially
Coverage: Freestanding EDs with occasional coverage at the main hospital; some FSEDs have 100% vacancy
Schedule: PRN; day and night shifts required; FSEDs require 12-hour shifts
Call: None
Volume: About 2-2.5 patients per hour during peak times
Practice Setting: Freestanding Emergency Departments and hospital ED
Staffing: Single physician coverage at FSEDs; multiple EM physicians at the main hospital
Support: Standard ED support staff; nurse/APP triage at the main hospital only
Orientation: Two shadow shifts, one IT day, in-house medical staff orientation
Affiliated Sites: Credentialing includes the main hospital and affiliated freestanding EDs in the Brandon, Lakeland, North Lakeland, Plant City, Riverview, University, and New Tampa areas

Requirements:
- EM board certified, or prior experience within this health system
- IM, FM, or ABEM physicians considered; non-ABEM physicians need at least 2 years of ED experience
- Case logs required to demonstrate procedural proficiency
- Flexible to work at both FSEDs and the main hospital
- Emergency privileges not available
- Active Florida license and DEA
