Permanent Emergency Medicine Physician | High-Volume ED | San Antonio (Northeast), TX | 9-Hour Shifts, Full-Time

Job description

Start: Flexible
Length: Permanent, full-time
Coverage: Emergency department
Schedule: 5–6 nine-hour physician shifts per day (varies by day); 4–6 APP shifts per day
Volume: About 58,500 annual visits (about 160 per day); about 2.1 patients per hour; 22% admission rate; 23% EMS arrivals; 9% pediatric
Practice Setting: High-volume, high-acuity hospital ED with 46 treatment rooms, 10 vertical care areas, and 10 hallway beds; Level IV trauma designation pending

• Emergency evaluation, treatment, and disposition of ED patients
• Strong physician and APP collaboration
• Efficient departmental operations with experienced leadership
• Documentation in Meditech

Requirements
• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine with ED experience
• Texas license (or eligible)
