Locum Emergency Medicine Physician | Float Pool, Hospital & FSEDs | Corpus Christi, TX | 1-Year, ABEM

Job description

Start: January 4, 2027 (ASAP)
Length: 1 year
Coverage: Float pool across one hospital ED and three freestanding EDs; system is short 4 full-time physicians
Schedule: 6a-6p or 6p-6a, single physician coverage; days, nights, and weekends
Call: None
Practice Setting: Hospital ED (18 beds) and freestanding EDs (8, 12, and 15 beds)
Volume: About 10% admissions at the FSEDs and 20% at the hospital; multiple consults daily
EMR: Meditech
Orientation: 2-hour onboarding plus 2-3 shadow shifts

Requirements:
- ABEM requested
- At least 2 years of ED experience for FSED coverage, or Family Medicine with an EM fellowship
- Case logs required
- Emergency privileges not available
- Active Texas license and DEA
