Emergency Medicine NP/PA Opportunity – Northampton, MA ***Willing to license PAs only****

Job description

Position Highlights

• Location: Northampton, MA
• Start Date: July/August 2026 or as soon as credentialed
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks with the option to extend
• Coverage Need: FMLA coverage through October 1
• Facility Type: Hospital (Level III)
• EMR: Epic

Schedule

• Full-time coverage preferred
• Ideal schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts per week
• Open to 3 x 10-hour shifts per week
• Minimum commitment: 2 x 10-hour shifts per week
• Providers available for 3 x 8-hour shifts, 2 weeks per month, will also be considered

Practice Details

• Shared-visit model working alongside attending physicians
• Lower-acuity Emergency Department patients
• Bread-and-butter Emergency Medicine cases
• Average daily census: 15–20 patients per 10-hour shift (approximately 1.5 patients per hour)
• Adult patient population only
• Seeking a provider who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Board Certification required
• Active Massachusetts license preferred
• BLS certification required
• DEA required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience required

Credentialing

• Emergency privileges available
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 30–60 days

Licensure

• Facility will consider licensing Physician Assistants who require a Massachusetts license
• Preference will be given to candidates who already hold an active Massachusetts license

Travel

• Airfare
• Hotel accommodations
• Rental car or mileage reimbursement
