Emergency Medicine APP Needed in Plainview, TX

Start: May

26-week assignment

Swing Shift: 12p-10p - 10 hour shift

Licensure: Active Texas license required

Certifications: Active BLS and ACLS required

Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days (temporary privileges available with a clean file)

Credentialing Requirements: Notarized ID required; COVID vaccination/booster or approved medical exemption form required

Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital

Trauma Designation: Level IV

Hospital Capacity:

68 Med/Surg beds

8 ED beds

5 ICU beds (Open ICU)

EMR: Epic

Emergency Department Details:

Annual ED Volume: 13,423 visits

Admission Rate: 10%

Transfers: Yes

CDU/Observation: Observation unit available

Pediatrics: Yes (approximately 20% of volume)

Acuity Levels: 1–5

Admitting/Bridge Orders: Yes

Imaging & Procedures:

Radiology reads completed by Radiology (ED physician may also interpret)

CT and Ultrasound: Available 24/7

MRI: Available 24/7

Bedside Ultrasound: Available

Additional Responsibilities:

ED physician responsible for APP supervision

ED physician responds to Rapid Response calls; care transitioned to Hospitalist upon arrival to allow return to the ED

No scribes utilized

Board Requirements:

Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE)

EM residency preferred

ABIM or ABFM physicians accepted with:

ATLS certification

Proof of procedures

19 hours of Trauma CME (ATLS course qualifies for the 19-hour requirement)
