Executive Director – Emergency Services, Nursing Operations

On-Site Only
Salary: $140,000–$210,000
Potential relocation assistance: Up to $10,000

This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing Emergency Services and Nursing Operations, with a focus on care delivery, quality and patient safety, employee engagement, patient experience, regulatory compliance, and financial management.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the administrative and operational functions of Emergency Services and Nursing Operations.
Develop budgets, staffing plans, strategic initiatives, and partnerships.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for department leaders.
Oversee clinical services, standards of care, staffing, and quality improvement.
Promote patient and workplace safety and a culture of excellence.
Collaborate with physicians, other service lines, rural providers, and community partners to improve care coordination.
Use research, outcomes data, and evidence-based practices to improve processes and patient care.
Support compliance with specialty designations and regulatory requirements.
Participate in emergency/disaster response when needed.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or another healthcare/business-related field — Required
5+ years of progressively responsible management experience in a hospital, outpatient, or clinical setting — Required
Demonstrated success in improving outcomes and developing people/programs.
Strong leadership, communication, and management skills.
Current Iowa RN license — Required
Professional specialty certification — Preferred
Valid driver’s license — Required
