PA Emergency Medicine – Locum Tenens – Clinton, NC Area

Job description

A community hospital-based Emergency Department in the Clinton, NC area is seeking a Locum Tenens Physician Assistant for August 2026 coverage.

Open Shifts (August 2026):
- 8/6: 12P–12A
- 8/8: 12P–12A
- 8/9: 9A–9P
- 8/10: 12P–12A
- 8/28: 9A–9P

Practice Setting:
- 22-bed community Emergency Department
- ~32,000 annual ED volume; ~90–100 patients per day
- APP volume: ~20–25 patients per 12-hour shift
- Coverage model: 2 physicians + 2 APPs (9A–9P and 12P–12A split)
- EMR: MediTech 6.1
- No call required; no admissions required

Requirements:
- NCCPA Certified
- NC Medicaid credentialed AND PECOS enrolled (mandatory — providers without these will not be considered)
- Licensed in NC or IMLC
- ACLS required
- Board certified – Physician Assistant, Emergency Medicine

Logistics:
- Hospital-owned apartment provided for housing
- Travel costs reimbursed up to $500
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: ~14 days
- Malpractice insurance provided by the agency
