Seeking Physicians to staff an Emergency Department at the Medical Center in Northeast Alabama:
About the Hospital/Positions:
$300/Hr
145 Bed Community Hospital
EPIC EMR + M-Modal for dictation
About the Program and Hours
25 Bed Emergency Department
28,000 Annual Visit ED
30% admission rate from the ED
12-hour Physician shifts (7a-7p, 7p-7a)
12-hour APP shifts (8a-8p & 1p-1a)
1099 Employee (Independent Contractor)
Physician Compensation: $300/Hr ($290/Hr + $10/Hr Quality & Documentation Incentive)
APP Compensation: $90/Hr
Coverage includes:
Hospitalist 24/7
Inpatient Psychiatry (Geri-psych >65 only), General Surgery, Cardiology with cath, GI, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Tele and In-house Neurology
30% admission rate
No ENT, Pediatrics, OB, nor ophthalmology.
It is a Prime Healthcare 180 bed Community Hospital, chest pain, and primary stroke center. They have 24/7 Hospitalists with Gen Surg, Cardiology with cath, GI, nephrology, Tele and In-house neurology, nephrology, in-patient geri-psych (>65y/o), orthopedics.
Qualifications Required
Active Alabama license in the state or ability to attain unrestricted state license
Physician candidate must be:
ABEM or AOBEM certification/eligibility OR
At least 2 years ER experience plus ABIM/AOBIM, or ABGS certification/eligibility OR
At least 1,000 hours ER experience (OR 1-year EM Fellowship) plus ABFM/ABOFM certification/eligibilty
APP candidate must be PA or FNP BE/BC with at least 2 years of ER experience
Active ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and/or PALS
