This healthcare facility is a community-based medical center serving the southern Alabama region, offering a range of essential medical services including emergency care. The facility features a 10-bed emergency department with strong support services, including 24-hour access to anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, laboratory, and radiology, as well as an on-site Labor & Delivery department.

Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Provide emergency medicine services with an average of 20 patient encounters per shift
• Work within a 10-bed emergency department at a Level 3 trauma facility
• Active Alabama medical license required - must be licensed in AL only
• Board certification is not required for this opportunity
• Required certifications include ACLS, ATLS, and PALS
• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 30 days
• 24-hour support services available on-site include anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, laboratory, and radiology
• Labor & Delivery department is available on-site; newborn deliveries are not received in the ED
• Locum Tenens engagement with ongoing scheduling needs
