Facility:
This facility is a Level 3 trauma center located in northern California, offering a 32-bed emergency department with comprehensive 24-hour support services including anesthesia, cardiothoracic surgery, catheterization lab, general surgery, laboratory, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, radiology, and vascular surgery. The facility is part of a well-established healthcare network with an active labor and delivery department on site.

Opportunity:
Physician - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine coverage for urgent shifts including July 3-6, July 26, July 28, and July 31
• Shift times are 11:00 PM - 8:00 AM (2300-0800)
• Average patient volume is approximately 110 patients per 24-hour period
• Guaranteed hours per shift: 8 hours
• Overtime applies after 12 hours and must be pre-approved by the medical director
• Must hold an active California medical license
• Must be board certified or board eligible within 5 years - ABEM or ABEOM certification required (ABIM and ABFM not accepted)
• Providers must have a clean file - candidates with large settlements, DUIs/drug issues, restrictions, terminations, or Medical Board actions are not eligible
• Minimum of 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in the specialty required
• Gaps greater than 3 months in clinical activity must be explained
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• 2-3 professional references required, including MD name, email, and phone number
• An updated CV with all hospital affiliations must be included upon presentation
• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 10 days
• Airport parking at departing airport is reimbursable if provider drives themselves
• Ride share or taxi from destination airport to lodging and from lodging to hospital is reimbursable
• Rental car insurance policies must be pre-approved prior to booking to be eligible for reimbursement
