This well-established medical center is a Level 3 trauma facility located in northern California, featuring a 32-bed emergency department with full around-the-clock support services including anesthesia, cardiology, general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, radiology, vascular surgery, and a fully equipped catheterization lab. The facility offers strong departmental support and a collaborative environment for emergency medicine providers.

Job Details:

• Locum tenens coverage needed for specific October shifts at a Level 3 trauma facility in the Eureka, CA area
• Inpatient, hospital-only coverage with 8 guaranteed hours per day
• Average patient volume is approximately 110 patients per 24-hour period across a 32-bed emergency department
• Providers must have a clean file with no large settlements, DUIs, drug issues, restrictions, terminations, or Medical Board actions to be eligible for temporary privileges
• Active California license required - licensed in CA only; no IMLC accepted
• DEA required
• Board certified or board eligible within 3-5 years of residency required; ABEM/ABOEM certification required (ABIM/ABFM not accepted)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Orientation must be completed the day before the first shift
• Overtime applies after 12 hours worked per day and must be pre-approved by the medical director
• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 15 days
• Current CV must be uploaded with bid submission
• Travel reimbursement includes airport parking at departing airport if provider drives themselves, pre-approved rental car insurance, and ride share/taxi from destination airport to lodging and between lodging and hospital
