This facility is one of the largest academic and surgical hospitals in the northeast and is part of the most integrated healthcare system in Connecticut. It operates as a high-volume, Level 1 Academic Trauma Center featuring 106,000+ annual ED visits and 120 ED beds in a state-of-the-art facility, and maintains an affiliation with the University of Connecticut with a robust Emergency Medicine residency program.

Opportunity:
BC/BE - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Provide emergency medicine services in a high-volume, Level 1 Academic Trauma Center
• Practice in a professional, team-oriented, and democratic environment with very low physician turnover
• Collaborate with a large EM residency program with 18 residents per year in a 1-2-3 program
• Work alongside competent, experienced Advanced Practitioners who integrate seamlessly into patient care and teaching
• Care for adult patients across a full spectrum of conditions utilizing the most advanced invasive procedures and testing
• Engage with faculty leaders in toxicology, ultrasound, research, critical care/resuscitation, and simulation medicine
• Pursue broad scholarly opportunities with an academic appointment at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine
• Candidates with fellowship training and an earlier start date will be given priority consideration
• Utilize the EPIC ED Computer System
• Benefit from comfortable 9-hour shifts
• MD or DO required; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Must be eligible for Connecticut medical licensure
