Locum Emergency Medicine Physician | PRN Day & Night Shifts | Loxahatchee, FL | No Call

Job description

Start: November 30, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 13 weeks, PRN (ongoing)
Coverage: Emergency department, PRN day and night shifts
Schedule: Typically 10-hour shifts; AM and PM shifts available
Call: No call
Volume: 1.8–2.0 patients/hour; 33 ED bays; 26–30% admission rate
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital (non-trauma)
Patient Population: Adults; no pediatric patients (dedicated pediatric unit on site)

• Emergency evaluation, treatment, and disposition of adult patients
• No nurse/APP triage for lower-acuity patients
• Orientation: 2 shadow shifts (3 shadow shifts plus EMR training without Expanse experience)
• Documentation in Expanse EMR
• Travel covered: flight, lodging, and rental car

Requirements
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Active Florida license required
• Minimum 6 months of experience
• Must be open to PRN scheduling
• Non-local candidates only (more than 50 miles from the facility)
• Expanse EMR experience preferred
• Credentialing: approximately 90 days
