Locum Emergency Medicine Physician | Brand-New Freestanding ED | Orlando, FL | PRN Day & Night Shifts, No Call

Job description

Start: January 4, 2027 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: Ongoing PRN coverage
Coverage: Freestanding emergency department and affiliated sites in the Orlando area
Schedule: Day and night shifts available; 24-hour physician coverage
Call: No call
Volume: Projected about 15,000 visits in year one (about 42 patients per day)
Practice Setting: New 10,000 sq ft freestanding ED with 11 bays, including a fully equipped trauma bay

• Emergency evaluation, treatment, and disposition of ED patients
• All-private treatment rooms; dedicated ambulance bay
• Onsite CT, ultrasound, and radiology
• Admissions transferred to the main campus with handoff to intensivists, hospitalists, and specialists
• Travel covered: flight, lodging, and rental car

Requirements
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM), or Board Certified Family Medicine with 4+ years of EM experience and/or an EM fellowship
• ATLS required at time of submission; PALS and ACLS required
• Active Florida license and DEA required
• Must be willing to work at all affiliated freestanding EDs
• Non-local candidates only (more than 50 miles from the facility)
• Credentialing: approximately 90 days
