## 🏥 JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking **Emergency Medicine Physicians** to provide locum tenens coverage in a busy **Level III Trauma Center**.

The physician will provide emergency department coverage and work collaboratively with advanced practice providers and the broader emergency medicine team. The department sees approximately **33,000 annual visits**, with an average daily volume of approximately **77 patients**.

This is a teaching hospital environment with opportunities to work alongside and supervise APPs.

## 🩺 CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Emergency Medicine Physician will:

* Provide emergency department physician coverage
* Evaluate and manage emergency department patients
* Stabilize patients requiring higher levels of care
* Work collaboratively with APPs and other members of the clinical team
* Supervise **1–2 APPs**, as applicable
* Provide trauma care within the scope of Level III trauma services
* Participate in a teaching-hospital environment

## 📋 REQUIREMENTS

* **ABEM Board Certification – Required**
* **Active Iowa medical license or IMLC – Required**
* **ATLS – Required for trauma privileges**
* Clean professional background
* Ability to provide a significant amount of coverage from the available shifts preferred
* Strong emergency medicine experience appropriate for a Level III trauma environment
