Shift Types: 9-hour and 12-hour shifts
Call: None
Average Open Shifts: ~15 shifts/month
EMR: Epic
ED Volume: ~77 patients/day
Annual ED Visits: ~33,000
Trauma: Level 3
Beds: 250
APP Support: 1–2 APPs
APP Supervision: Required
Teaching: Teaching hospital
Inpatient Responsibilities: None
Outreach: None

Schedule:
Day coverage: 1–2 physicians
Night coverage: 1 physician
9- and 12-hour shifts
Client wants providers able to cover a significant number of the open shifts
Open shifts are available from November 2026 through January 2027.

Requirements:
ABEM Board Certified only
Active Iowa license or IMLC
ATLS required for trauma privileges
Clean background
