Locum Emergency Medicine Physician | Community Hospital ED | Belton, MO (Kansas City Area) | PRN, No Call

Job description

Start: January 4, 2027 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: Ongoing PRN coverage
Coverage: Emergency department
Schedule: Physician shifts 7:00–17:00, 13:00–23:00, 7:00–19:00, 19:00–7:00, and 21:00–7:00; days, nights, and weekends
Call: No call
Volume: Average census of about 81; admission rate about 12%; higher volume of ESI level 4 and 5 patients plus critically ill patients
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital with ICU

• Emergency evaluation, treatment, and disposition of ED patients
• Must be comfortable managing high-acuity patients, including intubation and central lines
• Standard emergency department procedures
• Travel covered: flight, lodging, and rental car

Requirements
• Board Certified physicians at any experience level; FM or IM physicians with EM experience considered
• Active Kansas or Missouri license, or IMLC; DEA required
• ATLS, ACLS, and PALS required at time of submission
• Must be flexible for days, nights, and weekends
• Non-local candidates only (more than 50 miles from the facility)
• Credentialing: approximately 90 days
