Locum Emergency Medicine Physician | Critical Access ER | Russell Springs, KY | 12 or 24-Hour Shifts, No Call

Job description

Start: December 1, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: Ongoing
Coverage: Emergency department, critical access hospital
Schedule: 6–8 24-hour shifts (7:00–7:00) or 12–16 12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00 or 19:00–7:00) per month, or a combination
Call: No call; onsite hourly shifts only
Volume: Approximately 35 patients/day
Practice Setting: 10-bed ER in a 25-bed community hospital
Patient Population: About 25% pediatrics and 75% adults

• Emergency evaluation, treatment, and disposition of pediatric and adult patients
• Supported by RNs, techs, and a midlevel provider 10a–10p
• Documentation in Meditech
• Travel covered

Requirements
• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (Family Medicine physicians with current EM experience may be considered)
• Active Kentucky license required (IMLC not accepted)
• DEA and Kentucky CSR required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Meditech experience required
• Credentialing: approximately 30 days (can be expedited)
