Locum Emergency Medicine Physician | Community Hospital ED | La Grange, KY | 8 or 16-Hour Shifts, No Call

Job description

Start: November 23, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 6 months
Coverage: Emergency department
Schedule: 8- and 16-hour shifts: 7:00–15:00, 15:00–7:00, 7:00–23:00, 23:00–7:00 (no more than 2 consecutive 16-hour shifts)
Call: No call
Volume: About 14,000 annual visits; 14 ED beds
Practice Setting: Community hospital emergency department with 24-hour physician coverage

• Emergency evaluation, treatment, and disposition of ED patients
• APC coverage 8 hours per day, 6 days per week
• Most subspecialty coverage available (not ophthalmology, ENT, pediatrics, neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, or dialysis)
• Documentation in Epic with DAX Copilot
• Travel covered: airfare, lodging, and rental car

Requirements
• ABEM or AOBEM Board Certified
• Active Kentucky license and Kentucky DEA required
• Minimum 2 years of recent EM experience
