Facility:
This is a well-established regional medical center actively seeking emergency medicine coverage across two locations. The facility operates a 32-bed emergency department with an annual ER volume of 55,000 visits, supported by hospitalist services for admissions and APP coverage to assist providers on shift.

Job Details:

• Provide emergency medicine coverage floating between two hospital locations, with the greatest need for night shifts
• Shift options available include 8-hour, 11-hour, and 12-hour shifts
• Trauma Level 3 facility with an annual ER volume of 55,000 patients
• 32-bed emergency department with approximately 30% of ED patients admitted daily
• Hospitalist or admitting service handles all admissions - providers are not responsible for admissions
• APP coverage available on shift
• Responsible for monitoring and supervising paramedics and ambulance services by radio
• Providers are not responsible for codes
• Deliveries are sent directly to Labor & Delivery - not managed in the ED
• On-call response time required within 30 minutes per hospital bylaws
• EMR system: Meditech
• Active Massachusetts license highly preferred and will be prioritized
• ABEM Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency required
• BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications required
• Clean background required for credentialing purposes
• Self-Query NPDB required at time of presentation (must be pulled within the month)
• Provider must be local - no flight reimbursement available
• Hotel accommodations reimbursed by facility
