Locum Emergency Medicine Physician | Critical Access ED on Martha's Vineyard | Oak Bluffs, MA | Nights, No Call

Job description

Start: January 11, 2027 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 3 months
Coverage: Emergency department, critical access hospital
Schedule: 10–13 night shifts per month, 19:00–7:00
Call: No call
Volume: 20–24 patients per day; about 2.5–3 patients per hour; about 13,000 annual ED visits
Practice Setting: 25-bed critical access hospital on the island of Martha's Vineyard
Patient Population: All ages; about 14% pediatric volume

• Emergency evaluation, treatment, and disposition of patients of all ages
• Limited onsite specialty support; community, rural, or critical access experience helpful
• Documentation in Epic
• Hospital housing provided and ferry covered; rental car and flights covered within caps

Requirements
• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine required (IM and FM not accepted)
• Active Massachusetts license and MA DEA required
• ACLS required
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Credentialing: approximately 3–4 months
