Facility:
This Critical Access Hospital is Chest Pain accredited and Joint Commission Accredited, currently working toward Trauma Level 4 designation. The facility features 18 acute inpatient beds with an average daily census of 6, a fully-staffed Obstetrics Unit, and is supported by a regional medical center just 15 miles away for seamless transfers to higher levels of care when needed.

Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:
• Provide emergency medicine coverage for 24-hour in-house shifts (0800-0800)
• Handle approximately 25 patient encounters per shift with annual ED visits of approximately 8,000
• Work in a 9-bed emergency department with low admission rate (3.4%) and transfer rate (3.8%)
• Collaborate with nursing staff including 2 RNs during day/night shifts and 1 RN during evening hours
• Manage newborn deliveries received in the ED with L&D department support
• Access to 24-hour support services including Anesthesia, Laboratory, OR response, and Radiology
• Must maintain active Michigan medical license (IMLC not accepted)
• Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Board certification not required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 60 days
• Immediate coverage needed starting 6/30 with ongoing opportunities available
• Additional coverage periods include 7/21-25 and 8/24-30

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
