Job Description
Noor Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Hancock, Michigan (49931). This assignment begins with a required onsite orientation on September 8, 2026, followed by scheduled clinical coverage from September 9 through September 11, 2026.

The Emergency Department treats an average of 36 patients per day with approximately three admissions per shift, providing physicians with a balanced patient volume in a collaborative practice environment. Providers are supported by experienced Emergency Department nurses and one Advanced Practice Provider while utilizing the Meditech Electronic Medical Record system.

This assignment is covering an FMLA leave, with the possibility of additional future locum opportunities for providers who perform well.

Job Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with emergency medical conditions.
Perform comprehensive Emergency Medicine assessments and develop treatment plans.
Stabilize critically ill and injured patients requiring emergency intervention.
Perform procedures within the scope of Emergency Medicine practice.
Manage approximately three admissions per shift and coordinate patient disposition.
Collaborate with Emergency Department nurses, Advanced Practice Providers, consultants, and ancillary staff.
Accurately document patient encounters using Meditech EMR.
Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and evidence-based emergency care.

Job Qualifications
Required
MD or DO
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (Required)
Active medical license (or ability to obtain privileges)
Board Eligible physicians may be considered only if meeting facility requirements
Current DEA registration
Ability to complete credentialing promptly
Ability to attend mandatory onsite orientation on September 8, 2026
Preferred
Previous Meditech EMR experience
Recent Emergency Department clinical experience

Trauma assessment and stabilization
Advanced airway management
Cardiac emergency management
Critical care and resuscitation
Emergency procedures including suturing, splinting, fracture management, and procedural sedation
Interpretation of ECGs, laboratory studies, and diagnostic imaging
Emergency admissions and patient disposition
Meditech Electronic Medical Record proficiency
Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills
