This facility is a well-established hospital serving the Upper Peninsula region of Michigan, providing comprehensive emergency medical services to the surrounding community. The department features an 11-bed unit with strong support staff including ED RNs and an APP, along with 24-hour availability of key services such as anesthesia, general surgery, laboratory, orthopedic surgery, and radiology.

Opportunity:
Physician - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Provide emergency medicine coverage in an 11-bed ED with an average of 36 patient encounters per day
• Coverage needed for the following dates, 8am - 8pm shifts:
  December: 12/8 - 12/11, 12/19 - 12/21, 12/27 - 12/29
  January: 1/8 - 1/10, 1/21 - 1/23
• May have an ongoing need for future dates
• Onsite orientation required one day prior to the first block of assigned shifts
• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine is required
• Must hold an active Michigan license or IMLC
• Both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
• Average of 3 admissions per shift
• Charting via Meditech EMR
• Support staff includes ED RNs and 1 APP
• Temporary privileges granted when needed
• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 30 days, dependent on provider document submission
• Nearest airport is CMX - Hancock, Michigan
• Facility lodging available if applicable
