Emergency Medicine Physician Needed for Night Coverage in Coastal North Carolina
Job description
A North Carolina hospital is seeking an Emergency Medicine physician for night shift coverage. New providers will arrive the day before their first shift for orientation. This assignment begins as soon as credentialed.
Schedule
Shifts are 7p to 7a. Dates needed include:
September: 28
October: 2 to 5, 12, 19, 22 to 23, 30 to 31
November: 1 to 2, 6, 15 to 20, 26 to 30
Details
This is an inpatient only role and requires recent ED inpatient experience within the last 12 months. You will join an established team of six physicians and three advanced practice providers. The facility has 18 acute care beds, labor and delivery, a level II nursery, three operating rooms including a dedicated C-section room, and a 24-hour emergency department. Specialty consults are available in general surgery, orthopedics, cardiology, and telestroke.
Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, and PALS or APLS through the American Heart Association. An active NC DEA is required. Average inpatient census is 20. There are no ICU or critical care duties. The provider will respond to codes. Transfers are supported by ECU Health Air and ECU Health Ground.
This hospital operates on EPIC EMR and offers onsite radiology, anesthesia, and 24-hour lab services.
