This regional medical center serves as a cornerstone of healthcare for the surrounding community, offering a full-service emergency department with 22 beds and robust support services including anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and radiology available 24 hours a day. The facility operates an open ICU model and maintains an annual emergency patient volume of approximately 32,000 visits, providing a dynamic and well-supported clinical environment.

Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Provide standard solo emergency room coverage for 12-hour shifts
• Physicians typically see 18-20 patients per 12-hour shift with a daily department volume of 90-100 patients
• Work alongside 2 mid-level providers in a split coverage model
• Provider must be NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS prior to submission
• Must hold an active NC license or IMLC licensure
• Board certification required (minimum certified)
• EMR system: Meditech 6.1
• 22-bed emergency department with open ICU
• Hospital-owned apartments provided for housing
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 14 days
• Locum Tenens engagement with shifts available starting 11/27
