Job description

Emergency Medicine physicians needed for an Ohio ER locums opportunity through SCP. This is a hospital based ER role with strong specialty backup, Epic EMR, and multiple shift options.

Trauma Level: Level 3
ED Beds: 45 ED beds plus 5 triage rooms
Average Daily Encounters: About 109
Admit and Observation Rate: 30 percent
Transfer Rate: 3.1 percent
EMS Arrival Rate: 33 percent
Physician Coverage: About 37 hours daily
APP Coverage: About 27 hours daily
EMR: Epic
Orientation: EMR training and 1 shadow shift
Privileging: About 90 days once complete application is submitted
Temp Privileges: Not available
Specialty Backup: Surgery, neuro, cardiology, OB GYN, and ortho

6:30a to 4p
7a to 4p
10a to 9p
11a to 9p
3p to 12a
4p to 12a
9p to 7a

Requirements:
BC or BE in EM, FM, or IM
FM or IM physicians need 2 years of EM experience
Active OH license and DEA, or IMLC with ability to quickly obtain OH license and DEA
CAQH attestation required
ABEM physicians do not need to maintain active life certifications but must show documentation of ATLS once in the past
ABFM or ABIM physicians must maintain ATLS
Required file items include state license, DEA, degree, residency certificate, board certificate, photo, driver’s license, TB, flu, claims history, work history, affiliations, and 3 peer references
