This premier pediatric medical center serves as the region's leading children's hospital, featuring a 59-bed facility with comprehensive pediatric services. The hospital maintains Level I trauma designation and handles over 101,000 emergency department visits annually, providing exceptional care with state-of-the-art technology and 24-hour availability for critical services including radiology, laboratory, OR, and anesthesia.

Opportunity:
Physician - Emergency Medicine - Pediatric

Job Details:
• Provide pediatric emergency medicine services at both main and south campus locations
• Work within a team of 23 emergency department physicians handling annual volume of 101,692 patients
• Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and residents in clinical settings
• Manage fast track operations that handle 40% of total ED volume, staffed by both MDs and APPs
• Participate in radio supervision of paramedics and ambulance services
• Utilize EPIC documentation system for all patient records
• Write admission orders with transition to Admission Residents on Duty for ongoing care
• Collaborate with comprehensive consultant services including radiology, critical care, cardiology, and subspecialty services
• Handle 12% admission rate with 81% of hospital admissions originating from the emergency department
• Must be Board Certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
• Required certifications include PALS, ATLS, and BLS
• Active Ohio medical license required (will consider providers willing to obtain)
• Local candidates strongly preferred
• Credentialing timeframe minimum 120 days
• Weekend coverage required
