This medical center is a well-established healthcare facility serving the local community with comprehensive emergency services. The facility features a 9-bed emergency department with strong support services and maintains Level 4 trauma designation with excellent nursing and ancillary staff support.

Opportunity:
Physician - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:
• Seeking coverage for specific dates from August through December with ongoing opportunities
• Must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine with active Pennsylvania license
• Work in a 9-bed emergency department with ADC of 44 patients
• Provider staffing model includes 1 physician covering 6A-6P and 6P-6A shifts plus 1 APP from 11-9 daily
• Nursing support includes 2 RNs around the clock plus triage RN mid-day
• Additional staff support includes respiratory therapy, float RN, nursing supervisor, and nurse manager
• Handle newborn deliveries in ED when needed - deliver and transfer to main facility when stable
• No L&D department on-site
• 24-hour availability of support services including anesthesia, general surgery, cardiology, laboratory, radiology, and OR response
• Level 4 trauma facility with comprehensive emergency services
• Family medicine skills preferred including gynecology, obstetrics, and pediatric care
• Clean malpractice history preferred
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 14 days
• Lodging available in Altoona area with Pittsburgh or Latrobe airports for travel

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
