Locum Emergency Medicine Physician | Chest Pain & Stroke Center | Dickson, TN | PRN 10-Hour Shifts, No Call

Job description

Start: January 4, 2027 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: Ongoing PRN coverage (1-year need)
Coverage: Emergency department, rotational schedule
Schedule: 10-hour morning, mid, and night shifts
Call: No call
Volume: Average ED census of about 101; about 119 daily billable encounters; about 22 daily admissions
Practice Setting: 158-bed acute care hospital in rural Tennessee; accredited chest pain and stroke center (non-trauma)

• Emergency evaluation, treatment, and disposition of ED patients
• 1–2 EM physicians plus APP coverage per shift; nurse and tech support
• Multiple consults available
• Orientation: 2 days of shadowing and orientation
• Travel covered: flight, lodging, and rental car

Requirements
• ABEM Board Certification strongly preferred/required; new graduates considered
• Active Tennessee license and DEA required
• Case logs required
• Clean file required for temporary privileges
• Must be open to PRN scheduling
• Non-local candidates only (more than 50 miles from the facility)
• Credentialing: approximately 90 days
