Quick facts
• Need Emergency Medicine physicians for full time or part time locums
• Start as soon as emergency credentials are approved
• Shifts are 9 to 10 hours
• Annual ED volume about 7,500
• Facility has 280 inpatient beds
• Level 4 trauma center
• One to two APPs on every shift
• EMR is Epic
• Travel and lodging may be approved

Location
• Central Texas community about one hour north of Austin
• Easy access to Austin and surrounding areas

Position and schedule
• Emergency Medicine physician locums
• Full time and part time options
• Shifts are roughly 9 to 10 hours
• Providers will send in monthly availability and scheduling will be built around that

Clinical details
• Must see all ages
• Typical cases include
o Burns
o Difficulty breathing
o Fractures and sprains
o Head injuries
o Lacerations
o Severe allergic reactions
o Suspected heart attack or stroke
o Vomiting or coughing up blood
• One to two APPs on each shift

Requirements
• Active Texas medical license and DEA
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred
• Will consider other boards with strong Emergency Department experience
• Comfortable treating patients of all ages in a Level 4 trauma setting

Credentialing
• Emergency credentialing available for faster start when possible

Compensation
• $300 per hour
• Locums structure with specific details to be finalized based on your availability and preferences
