Job description

Emergency Medicine physician needed for a South Texas ER locums opportunity. This is a hospital based ER coverage need with 12 hour shifts and 24 hour physician coverage.

Opportunity Details:
Rate: $300/hr
Setting: Hospital based ER
Location: South Texas
EMR: Cerner
Shift Times: 7a to 7p and 7p to 7a
Coverage Model: 24 hours of physician coverage
Average Volume: About 34 patients per day
Procedures: Standard emergency medicine procedures
Privileging Timeframe: 90 to 120 days

Requirements:
Active TX license required
TX address DEA required
CDS required
BC in ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, or osteopathic counterparts
Must be residency trained in board certified specialty
ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required
ABEM providers do not need current ATLS, but must provide copy of initial ATLS
CME from past 2 years
Case logs from past 2 years
9 hours Stroke CME annually
9 hours Trauma CME annually
Claims history from past 5 years
Work history and affiliations from past 10 years
Three peer references
NPDB and background check required
