Emergency Medicine physician
Dallas, Fort worth, Sunnyvale, Lufkin, Austin, Dallas, Longview, Amarillo, Brownsville, San Antonio, Round Rock, Houston

This opportunity is well suited for a board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine physician seeking a well-supported community emergency department practice in North Texas. The department manages approximately 35,000 annual visits and provides 24-hour physician coverage with additional mid-level support.

Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a broad range of emergency medical conditions and injuries.
Provide timely, high-quality emergency care in a community hospital setting.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Order and interpret diagnostic testing as clinically indicated.
Stabilize patients requiring higher levels of care and coordinate transfers when necessary.
Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nurses, and other clinical staff.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment, and follow-up care.
Follow established clinical, quality, and patient-safety standards.

Qualifications:
ABEM or BEEM board certification required.
ATLS and PALS certifications required.
Emergency Medicine experience preferred.
Strong clinical judgment and emergency medicine decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency department.
Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality emergency care.

Emergency Department Details:
Annual ED Volume: Approximately 35,000 visits
Physician Coverage: 24 hours
Mid-Level Coverage: 30 hours
Trauma Level: IV
Hospital Beds: 70
Emergency Department Beds: 22
EMR: Cerner

Schedule:
The position offers 8-hour shifts across three daily coverage periods:
6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
