Board Certification: American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM), American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)American Board of Medical Specialties FM, IM, EM.

26 Acute Care Beds (incl. 4 acuity adj. beds ICU/PCU) NO ICU
EMR: Epic
No required procedures
Codes/Rapid Response handled by ED physicians
Staffing Model: 12-hour shift, (7a-7p, 7p-7a) 7 on/7off schedule
Days: 1 MD Nights: 1 MD Tele support for admissions & floor call
Education/Training: Graduate from an accredited 4 year medical school (MD) or an accredited Osteopathic school (DO).Completion of ACGME/AOA, approved 3 year residency program in EM/FM or IM. ECFMG required for foreign medical graduates.
Clinical Experience: New graduates acceptable: EM residency graduates within the past 12 months may be considered. 3-month proctorship required.
License: Active unrestricted VA Medical License and DEA w/ VA
