Job description

Start: January 4, 2027 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: Ongoing
Coverage: Hospital emergency department, nights only
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; exact times TBD
Call: No call
Volume: About 100 patients per day
Practice Setting: Full-service acute care hospital with a 24-hour ED

• Emergency evaluation, treatment, and disposition across a broad range of conditions
• Onsite ICU, step-down, Level III NICU, OB, cath lab and EP, and inpatient behavioral health
• Full imaging: X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine
• Surgical specialties including orthopedics, spine, ENT, urology, vascular, and robotic surgery
• Travel covered: flight, lodging, and rental car

Requirements
• ABEM Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Active Virginia license and DEA required
• ATLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Must be available for night shifts
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Non-local candidates only (more than 50 miles from the facility)
• Credentialing: approximately 90 days
