TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is actively seeking a Locum Tenens MD/DO Endocrinologist for a correctional medicine opportunity in Butner, North Carolina. This role offers a flexible, low-frequency schedule within a structured correctional healthcare environment, focused on chronic disease management and continuity of care.

Once onboarded, the provider will collaborate with the Scheduler by submitting their availability on an ongoing basis. Scheduling is a coordinated effort between the provider, the Onsite team, and the agency to ensure appropriate coverage and alignment with clinic needs.
Clinical Responsibilities
Manage endocrine and metabolic conditions within a correctional setting
Evaluate and treat conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, and hormone imbalances
Provide ongoing chronic disease management and treatment planning
Order and interpret diagnostic testing related to endocrine disorders
Coordinate care with onsite medical teams and external specialists as needed
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Requirements
MD or DO required
Active North Carolina medical license preferred/required (per facility requirements)
Board Certification/Eligibility in Endocrinology preferred
Ability to work independently in a correctional medicine environment
Strong experience managing chronic endocrine conditions
