Urgent Care NP/PA Needed – San Luis Obispo, CA
Start Date: September 7, 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks ongoing
Schedule
Full-time, 3x12s
8:00 AM–8:00 PM
Open 7 days/week
Schedule varies week to week
Must be able to work weekends
Flexible availability preferred
Work Details
Urgent Care
Float (locations are close together)
Approximately 40–45 patients per day
Independent practice (no physician on site)
High-volume environment
Strong patient experience and bedside manner required
Procedures include:
Laceration repairs
Incision and drainage (abscess)
Toenail removal
Practice Setting
Private Practice Urgent Care
Requirements
Nurse Practitioner (PAs also accepted)
Active California license required
Must have Emergency Department or Urgent Care experience
BLS required
Comfortable managing 40–45 patients per day
Able to complete charting in a high-volume setting
Compensation
W2 Locums
Additional Information
No licensing available
COVID-19 vaccination + booster required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed)
