TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum Family Medicine opportunity at a community-based public health facility in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. This outpatient role offers a supportive, team-based environment, a manageable patient volume, and flexible scheduling for local providers seeking a 6-month- 1 year commitment, with the possibility of extension.

Schedule: 3–5 days per week, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Administrative Time: 30 minutes per day
Lunch Break: 30 minutes
Patient Population: All ages, including rural and underserved populations
Average Patient Volume: 12–13 patients per day, with scheduling capacity for up to 16 patients
EMR System: CureMD
Telehealth: Not included

Clinical Responsibilities & Practice Environment
Provide outpatient primary care services to patients of all ages.
Deliver family medicine services to rural and underserved populations.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a team-based pod model.
Work alongside registered nurses, medical assistants, and interpreters.
Practice with physician supervision available.
Provide care in a supportive public health environment with a manageable patient load.

Qualifications & Requirements
Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Active North Carolina license.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
At least one year of Family Medicine or Primary Care experience preferred.
Prior Medicare and Medicaid enrollment preferred.
Local candidates only.
