Full-time Family Nurse Practitioner needed in beautiful San Marcos, TX! (new grads welcome)

Job description

The Family Nurse Practitioner reports to the Director of Family Medicine regarding administrative, provider relations and other day to day guidance. Assigned to supervising physician under the Texas Medical Board for medical consults and abides by appropriate clinical protocols. Provides quality, comprehensive out-patient primary health care services to the Center’s Family Medicine patients of all ages.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Examines, diagnoses, treats and/or refers patients assigned to physician’s panel, on an out-patient basis. Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions consulting with supervising physician.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree from an accredited university in a Nurse Practitioner Program
Board Certified AANP, ANCC or related required
Previous experience as Family Nurse Practitioner highly preferred
Must have current unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner from the Texas Board of Nursing
Annual continuing medical education as required by board specialty
Must be registered and have current DEA
