Job description
Medical Assistant II – Family Medicine
Seeking a qualified Medical Assistant II to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient family medicine setting with dedicated pediatric support.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients, examination rooms, and equipment for appointments and procedures.
Obtain and document vital signs and communicate patient concerns to providers.
Assist with examinations, treatments, and urgent patient situations.
Administer injections and perform basic diagnostic testing.
Collect and process laboratory specimens and perform blood draws.
Schedule appointments and procedures and provide appropriate telephone support.
Register patients, maintain medical records, and assist with billing and insurance forms.
Prepare patients for procedures and provide relevant instructions.
Maintain clinical equipment, supplies, and examination rooms.
Follow proper aseptic, sterilization, disinfection, and infection-control procedures.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Current CMA, RMA, or qualifying CCMA certification.
Pediatric experience is required and must be clearly noted on the resume.
Previous outpatient/ambulatory care experience strongly preferred.
Current AHA BLS certification required.
Schedule: Days
Pay: Approximately $21.19–$32.85/hour, based on experience.
